This day I spent entirely in bed. Such is the uncertainty of all human things that we know not what a day may bring forth. It is a duty, and will be for our advantage, patiently to submit to the providential dispensations of the great disposer of all events, whose we are, and whom we are bound to serve, and to glorify with our bodies and our spirits, which are His. What may happen in the course of the present year is all concealed from our view in great mercy, but whatever it may be, all things are under the guidance of infinite wisdom and love, and will work together for good to them that love God, to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
