.Fanny Goodchild (20), single woman, and Sophia Constable (11), were charged with obtaining by false pretences, from Francis Macintosh, one threepenny loaf of bread, the property of Thomas Macintosh, at the township of Whitby, on the 12th of October, 1872. Goodchild pleaded guilty: One month’s imprisonment. Constable pleaded guilty: Three months’ imprisonment, and then to be confined for four years in a reformatory.
