Now! Then! The Yorkshire Almanac for 2023

Now! Then! is a Yorkshire almanac portraying Yorkshire on this day by means of modern and historical events. Now! features modern happenings in the heavens and on earth. Then! consists of 635 historical serendipities (389K words) from the last 6,000 years, quoted from 950 more-or-less contemporary accounts, and dealing with at least 4,578 subjects, such as (automated list!) Leeds, York, West Riding of Yorkshire, Church of England, Horse, Bradford, Kingston upon Hull, poetry, Catholic Church, London ... Leeds’s Singing Organ-Grinder has been compiling and coding Now! Then! at bedtime to educate himself about his new home since moving from Hackney to Headingley in April 2021. It will soon be available in printed and e-book editions.
