Now! Then! is an almanac portraying Yorkshire on this day. Now! lists modern happenings in the heavens and on earth. Then! consists roughly of 940 historical serendipities (755K words) from the last 2,000 years, quoted from 1,602 more-or-less contemporary accounts, and dealing with 6,767 subjects, such as (automated list!) Leeds, York, West Riding of Yorkshire, Church of England, London, Sheffield, Horse, Bradford, poetry, Kingston upon Hull ... Leeds’s Singing Organ-Grinder has been compiling and coding Now! Then! The Yorkshire Almanac at bedtime to educate himself about his new home since moving from Hackney to Headingley in April 2021. It will soon be available in printed and e-book editions.
