Narrative
Afon Nant-fach flows SW-NE just south of the farm. It's about 7 miles from Bala, though TTA in A Welsh Story: "Thomas and Catherine Jones who lived at Nantfach Farm twenty miles north of Bala in a beautiful and lonely valley, amidst gently rolling hills." AMA says that TTA went up the lane in the 1940s and saw an 18th century date on the façade, but that when he himself went in the 1990s he didn't approach the buildings. He says that there is a small graveyard next to it, because in winter it could be too cold to go to Ty Mawr. In 1851 the farm supported 13 people https://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/MER/Llanfawr/1851Uchel.
