- 18 December 1642: “Bradford quarter” is given to a Royalist besieger during the First Siege
- 22 April 1771: The Leeds and Liverpool Canal appeals the prices illegally set by Bingley landowners for the compulsory purchase of their ground
- 18 July 1784: Wesley finds children “restrained from open sin” at one of the first Sunday schools, at Bingley
