Now! Then! A Yorkshire Almanac is a book-length calendar portraying Yorkshire on this day. Now! lists modern happenings in the heavens and on earth. Then! consists roughly of 820 historical serendipities (594K words) from the last 6,000 years, quoted from 1,256 more-or-less contemporary accounts, and dealing with 5,758 subjects, such as (automated list!) Leeds, York, West Riding of Yorkshire, Church of England, Horse, Bradford, London, Sheffield, East Riding of Yorkshire, Kingston upon Hull ... Leeds’s Singing Organ-Grinder has been compiling and coding Now! Then! The Yorkshire Almanac at bedtime to educate himself about his new home since moving from Hackney to Headingley in April 2021.
