Via Onze Taal: “For years Martin van Acht (39) from Eindhoven thought that the only Dutch in existence was Brabant dialect. What a surprise he got when at secondary school he suddenly had to learn how to talk General Civilised Dutch.” I once joined a local band to learn Dutch and it was only when I bought a telly six months later and couldn’t understand a word of the 8pm news that I discovered that I’d learnt a Low Saxon dialect.

  1. Hé die Fred, bedankt voor de Goaitsen-tip! Ik hoop dat er van de gratiseditie een online versie komt, omdat er op die fiets enerzijds meer aandacht zou komen en anderzijds de taalkaartjes aangesloten zouden kunnen worden op bv Google Maps, en daardoor dacht ik op de rest van de grote nasleep van Georg Wenkers Deutscher Sprachatlas – die fiets gaat natuurlijk oaver ‘n poal.
