On holiday over the new year, I was impressed by the relative quality of Philippine rhum, and it’s only about €2 a bottle. I’d say that if you ever catch yourself fretting about intake, you’re either listening to too much BBC radio or you should take a break on the stuff. 2-3 glasses of vi negre an evening with food are hardly a dangerous habit, whatever the puritans might say.
