Now! Then! is an almanac portraying Yorkshire on this day. Now! lists modern happenings in the heavens and on earth. Then! consists roughly of 970 historical serendipities (774K words) from the last 2,000 years, quoted from 1,695 more-or-less contemporary accounts, and dealing with 6,969 subjects, such as (automated list!) Leeds, York, West Riding of Yorkshire, Church of England, London, Sheffield, poetry, Kingston upon Hull, Bradford, Horse ... Leeds’s Singing Organ-Grinder has been compiling and coding Now! Then! The Yorkshire Almanac at bedtime to educate himself about his new home since moving from Hackney to Headingley in April 2021. It will soon be available in printed and e-book editions.
