MIT’s Eigenradio (eigen means “own” in Dutch and several other languages) “makes its optimal music by analyzing in real time dozens of radio stations at once. Someone who knows more about these things tells me that eigen almost certainly refers to the eigenvectors used in the analysis process. Eigen in this context also, of course, means “own”.
