This is the settlement built in the desert outside Guadalajara and equipped with a high-speed train station in what appeared to be a corrupt development deal engineered by PP bigwigs Esperanza Aguirre and Álvarez Cascos with the blessing of PSOE bigwig José Bono. It’s a Chernobyl of a place–apparently no one lives there. It would be nice to think that some of those who planned the scam have lost money as a result. The Spanish taxpayer certainly did.
