    Not exactly the equivalent of ‘irasshaimase’, but good enough for a restaurant.
    (I’m still working on finding out the meaning of “kome kome”, if there is such.)

  2. As a matter of fact, the japanese word ‘kome’ means ‘rice’. So it is rather appropriate.
    (Misschien komt daar het nederlandse ‘kommetje rijst’ vandaan.)
    Or maybe the owner of the restaurant is a fan of the erstwhile popular music group ‘Kome Kome Club’.
