News (via) that “African zoologists are in Colombia to advise local authorities on what to do with dozens of hippos roaming around the abandoned zoo of late drug lord Pablo Escobar in the north of the country” reminds one of the crocodile one found living in the bath of a small gypsy dwelling and allotment in Cádiz province, provening from a nearby wildlife farm whose ostensibly inexplicable rise and fall was surely unrelated to money laundering requirements. One hopes that it has not met up with the amateur African zoologists thronging the area.
