On discovering that using PAYG a UK 13-minute mobile-mobile call cost me a fiver. My impression is that it’s cheaper to call UK mobiles from Spain, possibly because our lords and masters in Brussels have capped roaming but not national charges. Generally the only way of finding out what any all bar a vanilla call will cost with any operator (except Google VoIP) is after the act. If it were not so, the regulator would be out of a job. 321, says the guru, but underneath the pretty cartoons there’s the same interminable thicket of T&Cs. Eternal torment or immediate and complete annihilation?
